Ashley Banjo has revealed that he has been in talks with Hollywood producers and directors to make an action-inspired Diversity film.

The dance troupe rose to fame after winning the third series of Britain’s Got Talent in 2009, and have been renowned for their innovative performances.

Now frontman Ashley said that the movie isn’t far off the likes of action films such as Mission: Impossible and Fast and Furious – but with a dancing twist added into the mix.

Speaking to The Sunday Mirror, the 32-year-old explained: ‘We’re creating a genuine blockbuster release – a feature film for the cinema. It has a feel like Mission: Impossible or Fast and Furious.

‘Imagine a franchise like those but with dance stunts and genuine creativity at the heart of it.’

Ashley said he couldn’t reveal which Hollywood bosses he had been talking to, but did tease they are ‘very experienced in action movies and they know dance.’

Sounds intriguing.

Last month, Ashley also revealed that he has had conversations with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle about working together on a potential project, but he’s remaining tight-lipped for now.

Speaking on Fubar Radio’s Access All Areas, he said: ‘I think the paths might cross at some point, I’m not sure how.

‘There’s been a couple of conversations, but yeah. I’m hoping that our paths cross. That’s all I’m going to say. Keep it under wraps as they say.’

He also joked that they ‘are buddies now’, adding: ‘We’ve got loads of common ground, things that we just both relate on.’

Diversity also notably performed a Black Lives Matter routine during an episode of Britain’s Got Talent last year, which led to over 25,000 complaints to Ofcom.

Ashely previously explained that he received a phone call from Harry and Meghan following the performance, and they told him he ‘could always lean on them.’

Speaking during an appearance on Lorraine, the dancer revealed that the couple ‘shared a lot of knowledge with me and opened my eyes to a few things I wasn’t aware of.’

‘I was really grateful to both of them,’ he said.

He also opened up about not being shocked by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s interview with Oprah Winfrey (Picture: Reuters)

The Dancing On Ice judge also previously opened up about not being shocked by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s interview with Oprah Winfrey after speaking to them at length about it.

‘They’re just normal people,’ he said. ‘They’re living a slightly different life to us, but they are just people.

‘You look at their actions to look after one another and protect their little family and I understand it 100 percent.’

He went on: ‘There were a lot of things people were shocked at in their interview with Oprah. I think I was less shocked because of our conversation, we had a really long chat and it was really eye-opening for me.

‘I’m genuinely inspired by both of them, the way they’ve handled themselves.’
