Returning for movie two will be Amy Adams as Giselle, Patrick Dempsey as Robert Philip, James Marsden as Prince Edward, Idina Menzel as Nancy Tremaine, with newcomers Maya Rudolph, Yvette Nicole Brown, Jayma Mays, Kolton Stewart, Oscar Nuñez and Gabby Baldacchino.
Here’s a synopsis: “Disenchanted” features the much-anticipated return of Giselle, the princess from the fairy tale world of Andalasia banished to Manhattan who found her real Princess Charming in divorce lawyer Robert Philip. 15 years later, Giselle moves to the suburb of Monroeville with Robert and their teenage daughter Morgan, where she must juggle the challenges that come with a new home and discover what happily ever after truly means to her and her new family.
Gabby landed the role of Morgan, which would appear to be the role originated by Rachel Covey in the first film. The role is the daughter of Patrick Dempsey‘s character, if this is the same “Morgan” from the first film.
It seems as if Maya will be playing the villain in the movie, based on a cute Twitter thread that happened between the cast.
Disney also released a video of the moment Gabby found out she’d be playing the role of Morgan.
