The 50-year-old had tried to keep a low profile standing away from the crowds and even covering half his face with a bandana at various points.
However, as he tried to discreetly exit the festival on Saturday night, a bunch of police on patrol took out their phones and asked the Oscar winner for a few selfies to which he happily obliged.
While it’s not standard for police on duty to make such requests, the star spent several minutes taking both group and individual snaps with the keen officers.
Wearing a black cap, yellow sleeveless puffer jacket over a long-sleeved blue hoodie, colourful trainers and sweats, the star posed for a series of photos with the group, which attracted the attention of photographers.
Jared, who in one of the snaps gave a thumbs up, attended the festival, which took place in Indio, California, for the entire weekend.
On Sunday, the ageless actor returned to the event in a floral-print shirt with a slim-fitting pair of black trousers, a bright pink trucker cap and the same pair of multicolored Adidas trainers.
He also sported a black bandana around his neck, which he used to cover a part of his face at various points.
Jared did not seem to have mingled with the many celebrity guests, including Nicole Scherzinger, Hailey Bieber and Billie Eilish.
His appearance at the popular festival, which saw performances from the likes of Doja Cat and Megan Thee Stallion, comes just before the highly-anticipated final episode of drama WeCrashed, in which he stars with Anne Hathaway.
The star, who portrays WeWork co founder Adam Neumann in the series, which chronicles the rise and fall of the startup company.
The show is based on the podcast WeCrashed: The Rise and Fall of WeWork.
Jared and co-star Anne also served as two of the hit show’s executive producers.
WeCrashed is now streaming on Apple TV Plus UK.
