Mrs Doubtfire star Lisa Jakub has made her opinion known on people asking ‘whatever happened to her’, after spotting an article online.

Lisa, 42, played Lydia Hilliard in the 1993 film in which Robin Williams played her father, who disguised himself as their female nanny to spend time with his children.

Other stars in the much-loved children’s comedy include Sally Field, who played the mother, and Mara Wilson and Matthew Lawrence as the other siblings.

Lisa starred in several other films and TV shows including Independence Day and the Twilight Zone until 2000 when she became a writer and yoga teacher.

She shared a screenshot of an article asking ‘whatever happened to her’, and her opinion on that question being asked.

Lisa wrote: ‘Well, ummm, I mean, a lot of stuff has happened since 1993 so you’re gonna need to be more specific.’

Fellow Mrs Doubtfire star Mara, 33, also commented: ‘Ugh, it’s like when they say someone “turned out well” or “DIDN’T turn out well”. What does that MEAN? Who “turns out” anything?’

Lisa responded: ‘You turned out perfect and if anyone says anything differently I will fight them.’

The former actress has penned books about her experience with child stardom and mental health, including You Look Like That Girl: A Child Actor Stops Pretending and Finally Grows Up and Not Just Me: Anxiety, Depression, and Learning to Embrace Your Weird.

Lisa had been acting from the age of four but decided to retire at 22, stating on her website: ‘I realised that there must be more to life than premieres and pretending to be other people.

‘I suspected that there was something outside of movies that would feel more authentic to me.’

After leaving the film industry, she moved to Virginia with her husband and turned her focus to writing and yoga instead.
