Our Idiot Brother’s Matthew Mindler declared missing at university

Former child actor Matthew Mindler has been declared missing from his Pennsylvania university.

The 19-year-old, who acted alongside Paul Rudd in 2011’s Our Idiot Brother, was last seen walking to a parking lot at Millersville University on Tuesday night.

According to TMZ, campus surveillance footage saw Mindler wearing a white hoodie with black stripes, a hat, and jeans.

According to police, the actor was reported missing on Wednesday after failing to return to his dorm room or answer any calls from family and friends.

Millersville University said in a statement: ‘Police are asking for help in finding 20-year-old Matthew Mindler, a first-year student from Hellertown, PA, who has been missing since Tuesday evening August 24, 2021. Matt was reported missing to University Police late last evening after he did not return to his room or return phone calls from his family.

‘Matt was last seen walking from his residence hall, West Villages toward the Centennial Dr. parking lot area at 8:11 p.m. Tuesday night. He was wearing a white Millersville University hooded sweatshirt with black stripes on the arm, a black backpack, jeans, and white sneakers.

It continued: ‘Matt attended classes Monday and Tuesday but did not attend yesterday or this morning. University Police are in contact with Matt’s mother and are working with campus staff for assistance in locating Matt.

‘University Police filed a missing adult report with the National Crime Information Center this afternoon, less than 24 hours after the initial report and have also notified local police departments.’

The student was best known for his role in the 2011 film Our Idiot Brother but was also featured in As The World Turns and 2013’s Frequency.

He last appeared in 2015′ Solo and 2016’s TV movie, Chad: An American Boy.
