Share Market LIVE: Sensex opens below 52,400, Nifty gives up 15,700; ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank among top drags

Share Market News Today | Sensex, Nifty, Share Prices LIVE: Domestic equity markets fell on Friday’s opening bell. S&P BSE Sensex was down 0.4%, giving up 52,400, while the 50-stock NSE Nifty gave up 15,700. Tech Mahindra was up 0.77% as the top Sensex gainer, followed by Infosys and TCS. On the other hand, IndusInd Bank was down 1.1% as the worst-performing stock on Sensex, followed by Mahindra & Mahindra, Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, and ICICI Bank. Broader markets were trading mixed as smallcap indices surged higher. Nifty smallcap 100 gained 0.10%. Bank Nifty was down 0.92%. India VIX was again soaring higher, gaining 2%. 

On day two of bidding, Clean Science and Technology IPO was subscribed 4.28 times by investors. Retail investors have bid for their portion 5.43 times, NIIs have subscribed their quota 4.51 times while QIBs have bid for 2.12 times the portion reserved for them. Meanwhile, GR Infraprojects’ IPO has been subscribed 5.75 times so far. QIB portion has been subscribed 2.79 times, NIIs have bid for their quota6.31 times, and the retail investor portion has received bid 7.5 times the quota. The portion reserved for employees of GR Infra has not been fully subscribed so far.
